After a few days of serious server-side issues here, MusicEdNews.com is back and running!  The problem started after a number of my related-sites were transferred from an older server to a newer, higher-end server.  Despite my best efforts to repair the issues, the MusicEdNews site kept creating errors that were culminating in gigabytes of server log errors...  The final solution?  "Axe it" and start over...

This site is now functioning at "full power" and I've added a number of new and exciting feeds to it.   The PO-EM project still needs to be updated to include these sites, there are still a number of favicons that need to be updated, and I still need to update a number of RSS aggregators as well...  I'm hoping to finish these remaining tasks in the next one to two weeks.   There will be a post when all of this is accomplished...

Music Educators, Music Students, and Musicians Everywhere... Welcome to the new Music Education News Online Website!   This Website comes to you as another project from Dr. Joseph M. Pisano of MusTech.Net fame and will be co-edited by Mr. Andy Zweibel of MusicEdMajor.Net.

In the weeks to come, MusicEdNews will be in a constant flux...but it will be LIVE flux, meaning -it's online now!   One of the many educational things that I have been working on for the past 4 years has been to have music experts place "better information" about our field on the web.

In this regard, one of the seminal projects in music education that started to accomplish this was the 100 Music Educator Bloggers Initiative that I started in January of 2008 and completed in January of 2009.  Since then, I've been developing and researching better ways to find and aggregate this information.  MusicEdNews is a direct evolution of that thought stream.

It is my hope to bring through this site the very best that music education is offering to us from the Web 2.0 world.  Please standby as more will be "snowballing down-hill" on this Website in the next months!
